Who we are

This website, blinc-uk.com, is operated by Blinc-UK Ltd(“Blinc-UK”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 06635146), with its registered office at Chancery House, 3 Hatchlands Road, Redhill, Surrey, RH1 6AA. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice and are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What this notice covers

This notice explains how we handle personal data collected through this marketing website — principally when you join our early-adopter waitlist. The Blinc-UK compliance platform itself (tenant referencing, AML and related services) involves additional processing that is governed by a separate platform privacy notice.

Personal data we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the waitlist form, we collect:

  • your full name;
  • your work email address;
  • your company name;
  • your firm type (e.g. estate agent, letting agent).

Information collected automatically. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It collects aggregated, anonymised usage data — such as the pages viewed, approximate country, and device or browser type — to help us understand how the site is used. It does not set tracking cookies and does not build a cross-site profile of you.

How we use your data, and our legal basis

  • To operate the waitlist — to add you to our early-adopter list and contact you about early access, launch and closely related updates. Our legal basis is your consent (given when you submit the form) and our legitimate interests in responding to your request and developing our product.
  • To understand and improve the site — using aggregated analytics. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving our website.

We will not use your details for unrelated marketing, and you can ask us to remove you or opt out at any time.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to provide their service:

  • Supabase — secure database hosting for waitlist submissions.
  • Resend — sends our team an email notification when a new waitlist entry is received.
  • Vercel — website hosting and the privacy-friendly analytics described above.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data on servers outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as a UK adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or Standard Contractual Clauses — to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

How long we keep your data

We keep waitlist data only for as long as needed for the purpose above — that is, until our platform launches and we have had the opportunity to onboard early adopters, or until you ask us to remove you — after which we securely delete it. Aggregated analytics data does not identify you and may be retained for longer.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to our processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We store a small preference in your browser’s local storage to remember your light or dark theme choice; this stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. Our analytics are cookieless.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
